St. Catherine Labouré was a devout member of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul and she experienced visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was given the image of the miraculous medal which thousands of people wear today. When St. Catherine asked Mary why some of the rays of light from her hands didn’t reach the earth, Mary replied, “Those are the graces for which people forget to ask.” This charm is a nice reminder that our prayers are always heard and answered—even if we don’t notice.
