Holy Cross Abbey | Monastery Creamed Honey - Lemon - From The Cistercian Monks In Berryville, VA

Product Overview

Monastery Creamed Honey is made from locally sourced honey in the Shenandoah Valley. The Cistercian monks take the liquid honey and naturally crystallize it so that it thickens slightly, making it soft and spreadable. Creamed honey can be stored at room temperature and has an indefinite shelf-life.

This all-natural honey from Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, Virginia has the smooth, creamy, consistency of whipped butter. The monks’ beloved lemon-flavored creamed honey is made with just two ingredients: honey and lemon flavor concentrate. That’s it!

The Cistercians make this honey as part of their spirituality of work and prayer. Every purchase supports them as they continue to make their monastery a place of prayer, stillness, and intercession—which the world so desperately needs.

I purchased this honey during a time I had a cold bad, bad cough. This honey with the lemon really helped my throat. It actually helped better than the one with cinnamon in it, but in my opinion, it was the best and very smooth.

WOW! My momma and I have visited Holy Cross Abbey for some 60 years, and consider it our very treasured spot in all the world (We even have our burial sites at the Cool Spring Natural Cemetery). Mom will be 91 on Christmas Eve, and this was a gift for her that she is sure to adore. Thanks and blessings for a entire lifetime of memories, dear friends and brothers.
