Our Lady of the Holy Cross Abbey is a Benedictine monastery of the Cistercian order. As Benedictines, they live by the work of their own hands. This work includes the maintenance and operation of their gift shop, cemetery, and bakery.
One of the ways they sustain themselves is by selling delicious creamed honey! Locally sourced from the Shenandoah Valley, this honey is crystallized until it reaches a soft, spreadable consistency. And since it’s made with all-natural ingredients, you can store it at room temperature. Plus it has an indefinite shelf life!
Every purchase supports the monks as they continue to make their monastery a place of prayer, stillness, and intercession—which the world so desperately needs.
